Heroes of the Storm news » Hallow’s End 2017 Looms Near

Hallow’s End is creeping up on the Nexus, and we’ve got a new event quest and rewards, as well as a several new cosmetic items ready to begin haunting Heroes of the Storm later this month! Indulge your sweet tooth this year with a few new treats during Hallow’s End 2017, which kicks off Wednesday, October 18, and lasts until November 14.

New Hallow's End Event Quest

Play Heroes of the Storm during Hallow’s End in any mode except Custom Games, Training, or Heroes Brawl to earn ghastly new rewards! Here are the goodies you’ll unwrap when you complete this three-part quest chain:

  • Part 1: Play 2 Games during Hallow’s End
    • Reward: Cartoon Headless Horseman Spray
  • Part 2: Play 8 Games during Hallow’s End
    • Reward: Hallow’s End Warcrest Banner
  • Part 3: Play 15 Games during Hallow’s End
    • Reward: Headless Horseman Portrait

Hallow's End Loot Chests

Once Hallow’s End begins, and until it concludes during the week of November 13, you’ll pick up a Hallow's End Loot Chest every time you level-up! These themed Loot Chests are only available during the event, and now guarantee at least one of the limited-time items from that event—including portraits, sprays, skins, and mounts.

Weekly Brawl rewards earned after October 20 will also award one Hallow’s End Chest, and you can head to the Loot tab in-game to purchase Rare Hallow’s End Chests directly using gems. Finally, please note that any Loot Chests you already own prior to the start of the event will not convert to Hallow’s End Chests.

Spooktacular New Skins, Mounts, and Bundles!

You’ll find a pair of chilling new bundles, along with a new legendary skin for Greymane, an epic skin for Valeera, rare skins for Brightwing, Chromie, Cho’gall, Gazlowe, and Murky, and several new mounts haunting the Nexus this Hallow’s End.

The bundles can be purchased using gems, while skins and mounts can be forged using shards, or opened in Hallow’s End Loot Chests. Brand new items that arrived with this event will remain at their initial shard prices for the duration of the event, while returning items from past Hallow’s End events have been adjusted down.

You won’t be able to pick up the bundles or forge event items after November 14, so be sure to snatch these goodies before they creep away!
