Get ready to celebrate the Year of the Rat with your World of Tanks family and friends! 

With the Lunar New Year* just around the corner, World of Tanks is hosting a special event which will reward you with universal Crew members, Crew Books, plenty of x5 EXP tokens for any vehicle, and a bunch of other prizes. Jump in, complete special battle missions, and celebrate the Year of the Rat with your favorite game!

How It Works 

Starting January 23, you'll find special daily combat tasks named after the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac in your Missions tab. Completing missions (12 total) rewards the event’s currency — Golden Coins. You can see how many Coins you've earned by checking the bonus Lunar New Year Sleepy Cat mission in your client. 

The number of Golden Coins you have earned will also be displayed on the event landing page. You will need them to complete the Five Elements of Chinese geomancy: Wood, Fire, Earth, Water, and Metal, schematically depicted on this dashboard. 

Each Element costs 300 Golden Coins to complete and completing each of the first four — Wood, Fire, Earth, or Water — will grant you one universal* “zero-Skill” Crew member (Commander, Loader, Gunner, and Driver) with the Brothers in Arms Perk. 

As 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat on the Lunar calendar, you will need to complete all the other Elements to gain access to the Metal Element. Completing the Metal Element will reward you with two valuable Crew Books: a Training Manual (containing 250,000 XP for each Crew member) and a Personal Training Manual (containing 850 XP for a selected Crew member).

*A Crew member for whom you can select his nationality, tank class, and Tier. The only fixed variable is his Major qualification.
