World of Warcraft news » Watch the Arena World Championship Fall Cup 2 Friday 9/28 and Saturday 9/29!

The Arena World Championship’s (AWC) Fall Season continues with EU Cup 2 - Top 8 beginning Friday, September 28 and NA Cup 2 - Top 8 on Saturday, September 29 beginning at 19:00 CEST each day.

Watch the AWC Fall Season broadcasts live on the Warcraft Twitch channel and make sure to follow to get notifications for when events go live.

In Europe, heavy weights including Tempo Storm, Method Black, XRB to the Moon, and Making a Movie reached the top 8. After Tempo Storm’s recent roster swap, they didn't have their main healer to battle through the open bracket. Instead Niksi stepped up for the team allowing them the opportunity to make it to the Top 8 broadcast. Threatened with elimination in the lower bracket, Tempo Storm face Method Black, said to be the scariest team in Europe. Method Black, consisting of Whaazz, Raiku, Swapxy, and Chas, has accumulated 1145 AWC Points and regardless of being in the lower bracket, are expected to maintain their dominance. Tune in at 17:00 CEST sharp to catch this first series of the day!

A handful of new teams you may not have heard of also made Top 8. Some unorthodox compositions and strategies took some high-rated players off guard in the open bracket. Be sure to tune in to see how these players are adapting to the new changes.

The Top 5 point earning teams in EU (Method Black, XRB to the Moon, Making a Movie, Tempo Storm, & Reformed) are expected to qualify to BlizzCon 2018 with such a large drop off in points. Skill Capped Red is attempting a last minute miracle run to overtake Tempo Storm, though they have a long road ahead of them. On the other hand in North America , The Gosu Crew (formally known as The Move) and Method Orange are the only teams to comfortably gain a point lead. Super Frogs, The Rejects, and Kaska’s Angels are all very possible candidates for the 3rd and final spot to BlizzCon. Earning points in this cup is crucial to all of these teams to make that final leap. Tune in on Saturday to see which one of these teams will be pulling ahead!
