Hotfixes

July 9, 2019

Achievements

  • "Fighting on Two Fronts" no longer requires looting the Mechagon Fight Club chest.
    • Developers’ note: Especially as a requirement for Rank 2 of an Essence, this step was out of line in difficulty with the other parts of the achievement.

Creatures and NPCs

  • Foul Manifestation now reliably spawns in Mechagon.
  • Ignite Mana cast by the Baron Geddon Data Anomaly in Mechagon now lasts for 30 seconds (was 5 minutes).

    • The power contribution of Red and Yellow Punchcards are now more comparable to one another.
      • Developers' note: Yellow Punchcards were too strong, and Red Punchcards were too weak. The overall effectiveness of a trinket with Red and Yellow Punchcards should be similar or better than previously.
  • Heart of Azeroth
    • Memory of Lucid Dreams (Essence) no longer removes stealth when activated while Stealth or Prowl are active.
    • Purification Protocol (Essence) can no longer kill a quest objective enemy with its Rank 2 Purifying Blast.
    • Essence effects no longer unintentionally break players out of stealth.
      • Worldvein Resonance’s Lifeblood Shards no longer break stealth.
      • Vitality Conduit no longer breaks stealth when health is transferred to or from a stealthed unit.
      • Vitality Conduit no longer cleanses crowd-control that breaks on damage such as Blind and Polymorph.
      • Gaining Focused Energy from Essence of the Focusing Iris’ Minor Power no longer breaks stealth.
      • The Azerite Spike generated from Condensed Life-Force’s Minor Power no longer breaks stealth when striking an enemy unit.

      • Ripple in Space’s Minor Power no longer breaks stealth.
      • Gaining Reckless Force from The Unbound Force’s Minor Power no longer breaks stealth.

    • The following items have had their effects reduced in PvP combat:
      • Edict of the Faithless’ absorption effects reduced by 60%.

Achievements

  • Revealing treasure chests while scrying in Nazjatar should now reliably grant credit for Nothing to Scry About.

Creatures and NPCs

  • Prince Erazmin's best friend, Scrappy, is now better at traveling Rustbolt to encourage the resistance. He should no longer occasionally fall through the ground.
  • Unleashed Arcanofiend’s Proximal Chaos attacks are now a bit less chaotic.
  • In Nazjatar, there are now fewer slugs in rocks. Eww.

Items

  • Epic gems with a secondary stat now provide 50 of the secondary stat (was 60).
    • Developers’ note: The power increase of Epic gems over Rare gems is too large, putting players in situations where the right choice is to use a much lower iLvl item with a socket over a Titanforged upgrade. We’re making this change before Season 3 begins to limit the number of affected players.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some punchcards in the to be labeled "Titanforged" at a lower item level than intended. (No items were harmed in the making of this bugfix.)
  • Chain Ignitercoil is no longer sold by vendors in Mechagon.

    • Using the Charging Station to charge Empty Energy Cells.
  • Heart of Azeroth

    • Classes with pets that use energy will no longer cause their pets to gain an increased energy regeneration rate when using Memory of Lucid Dreams (Essence).

Missions and Followers

  • Fixed an issue where some players could receive the Zen'lan Lost Treasure Map mission a second time with no loot. The mission is now removed if it has already been completed.
  • Missions with the Deep Sea mechanic now have a base time of 24 hours and are properly countered by Naval Expert.

Player vs. Player

  • “Call to Arms: Nazjatar” can now properly be completed by slaying the opposing faction in Nazjatar.
  • Battle for Nazjatar
    • Additional improvements have been made to this event. It should now become active more often, while still ensuring that there are mix of Horde and Alliance players present.
    • Factions that control more capture points within the Battle for Nazjatar event will now yield more Victory Points. This works similarly to Arathi Basin or the Battle for Gilneas.

Quests

      • Developers’ note: The Minor Power on Memory of Lucid Dreams has a custom implementation for Fire Mages and how it interacts with Fire Blast charges. However, this wound up being too strong relative to other Essences’ Minor Powers. As such we’re reducing its proc rate by 33% for Fire Mages, which should keep this as a very strong option to use in the Minor Slot, but much closer to the potency of other Minor Powers.
