Heroes of the Storm news » Tryhard - For Good!

The gauntlet has been thrown. We’ve equipped some top-tier MOBA-playing Twitch streamers with a coach and challenged them with a simple goal: become the best Heroes of the Storm player they can possibly be, while earning donations for Make-A-Wish® and JA Worldwide in the process. It’s time to Tryhard – For Good!

How Tryhard for Good Works:

  • Phase One:
    • Each of the European contenders will be teaming up with expert coaches for some hands-on instruction over the next few weeks. Here’s where they’ll learn the ins-and-outs of Heroes of the Storm, sharpen their competitive skills, and get their Hero League game faces on.
  • Phase Two:
    • The gloves come off. Once their training has ended, each competitor will claw their way to the top of the Hero League solo queue ladder with no more assistance from the coaches. Good luck!
  • Follow Along!
    • Tune in to your favorite streamers’ Twitch channels to learn alongside them during Phase One, and keep up with their progress as they climb the Hero League ladder during Phase Two. A list of participating streamers and links to their channels will be available next week.

At the end of the challenge, each sponsored streamer’s rank on the Hero League ladder will determine the donation amount we’ll make to Make-A-Wish and JA Worldwide:

  • €5000 for finishing their placement matches
  • €200 for ranking up a division (for example, Gold 3 to Gold 2)
  • €1,000 for ranking up a league (for example, Platinum 1 to Diamond 5)
  • €5,000 for reaching Master Rank
  • €100 per Hero League win, up to 100 wins per competitor
  • €20,000 to the competitor who reaches the highest on the Hero League ladder!
