Heroes of the Storm news » Team gangang and Team Zealot Advance to the Crucible

The European Open Division Playoffs concluded in an epic grand final between Team gangang and Team Zealot. Rosters for both teams are a mix of veteran players who have been waiting in the wings for their opportunity to qualify for the HGC.

One of these veterans is Arturs 'bkbgrnrjefek' Hlibovs, (known simply as ‘Bkb’), who formerly competed with Team Liquid and Virtus.pro.

“For us, the most important thing was to qualify for the Crucible,” said Bkb. “The finals didn't matter that much, but it was still nice to win and know we’re the best Open Division team, considering we didn't basically practice at all. It feels really good, and gives us more motivation and confidence to qualify for HGC, and of course we will do our best to prepare for Crucible.”

After dispatching of Team Leftovers in the Semifinals, Bkb and Team gangang won out in the finals, claiming a 3-1 victory over Team Zealot.

“Thanks to the guys for doing their best. I think this is probably my most favorite team. The atmosphere and attitude is really nice. Thanks also to our fans that were cheering for us.”
