Heroes of the Storm news » 2017 Ranked Season 3 Rewards Update

In our 2017 Ranked Season 3 blog last September, we mistakenly included images of the Golden Cybersteed and Spectrum Cybersteed as rewards that could be earned based on your performance in ranked play that season. We later corrected the blog, but have since received feedback from many of you who were excited about those mount variations, and played hard to unlock them.

Though we hadn’t intended to release those mounts as ranked rewards, we want to do right by those who felt they had been promised those rewards. Within the next few days, we’re going to grant the Golden Cybersteed and Spectrum Cybersteed— as well as their Epic counterparts—to players who would have been eligible to receive them based on their performance during 2017 Ranked Season 3.

In addition to the rewards they already earned when the season came to an end, those who achieved certain ranked play milestones during 2017 Season 3 will also receive the following Cybersteed mount variations:

Hero League

2017 Season 3 Rank Reward
Platinum or higher

Golden Cybersteed

Spectrum Cybersteed
Master or higher

Epic Golden Cybersteed

Epic Spectrum Cybersteed

Team League

2017 Season 3 Rank Reward
Bronze or higher

Golden Cybersteed

Spectrum Cybersteed
Master or higher

Epic Golden Cybersteed

Epic Spectrum Cybersteed

We sincerely apologize for this error; it’s important to us that you can trust we’ll follow through on the information we share with you about Heroes of the Storm, and ranked rewards are no exception. We hope those of you who earned these Cybersteed mounts are excited to welcome them into your Collections. As always, we’ll see you in the Nexus!
