"Cheers Love, the Cavalry's here!"
- Tracer, Agent of Overwatch
It should come as no surprise that London’s adventurous former Overwatch agent Lena Oxton often finds herself in strange places - and even stranger times - thanks to an unfortunate case of chronal disassociation. But even for this famed experimental pilot, ending up in the Nexus was completely uncharted territory! Never one to shy from a challenge, Tracer has embraced the action-packed battles found in this exciting new world and begun her watch anew. Cheers, Love!
Tracer is an insanely mobile ranged Assassin who introduces a few new concepts to Heroes of the Storm. Even her basic attacks are unique. She's able to shoot while moving, pumping out 20 rounds before having to take a short break and reload her Pulse Pistols. Using this run-and-gun attack style in conjunction with her Blink and Melee abilities, Tracer zips around the battlefield dealing constant damage to a single target. If she gets a bit overzealous in her pistol-powered onslaught, Tracer can activate her Recall ability to cleanse all negative debuffs, reload, and teleport back to wherever she was located three seconds ago.
Bringing a little Overwatch flavor into Heroes, Tracer starts with her Heroic Ability, Pulse Bomb, at level one. This ability charges up as Tracer deals damage with Basic Attacks and abilities. After reaching level ten, she can choose from three upgrades for Pulse Bomb. The first, Sticky Bomb, applies a significant slow to anyone affected by the bomb. The second, Quantum Spike, deals a huge burst of extra damage to whoever is stuck by the bomb. The last choice, Pulse Rounds, increases Pulse Bomb's range and charge rate.
In the right hands, Tracer is a practically untouchable and deadly Assassin thanks to her combination of her high mobility, single-target burst damage, and insane jukes. We can't wait to see what everyone will do with this new Hero!
Talent Highlights:
Parting Gift – Adding some extra burst damage to Tracer’s kit every time Recall is cast, Parting Gift will be a must-pick for those looking to fill an ultra-aggressive Assassin role.
Bullet Time – Blinking constantly and effectively is crucial to playing Tracer to maximum effectiveness. With Bullet Time, each of Tracer’s Basic Attacks will lower Blink’s cooldown, giving Tracer more frequent uses of her flashy signature ability.
Locked and Loaded – Can you manage this level of micro? Rewarding constant carefully timed key presses, Bullet Time gives Tracer’s next clip significantly more damage if players can activate reload at just the right time.
Total Recall – If your opponent thought it was hard to kill you once - let’s see them try that again! Resetting Tracer’s health to its previous value when casting Recall, Total Recall allows you to go all-in for those risky kills, and then Recall back to safety with a full health pool.
The world could always use more Heroes, so we’ll see you in the Nexus!
Tracer out!
