League of Legends news » DRIVE: The Pobelter Story

Team - Counter Logic Gaming
Region - North America
Position - Mid
Signature Champions

Pobelter is not a new name on the North American LCS scene. The young and talented mid laner made a name for himself in Solo Queue well before he became eligible for professional play. Despite his young age, he was recruited by the likes of Curse Gaming and ggLA before making his way onto Evil Geniuses and into the LCS once he turned 17.

In the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split, EG struggled and the Notorious P.O.B. had a hard time finding his footing. However, once Summer rolled around, he found his footing on mages like Ziggs and Syndra. In fact, on the Hexplosives Expert, he managed to put up an absolutely massive 11 KDA. It seemed that the new kid had found his place in the LCS.

As 2014 turned into 2015, Pobelter continued to impress opposing mid laners, spectators, and analysts alike. And yet, even after EG rebranded and became Winterfox, his team still couldn't find the wins they needed and were relegated after the 2015 Spring Split.

No one was going to keep Young Pob down for long, however, as Counter Logic Gaming was looking for a new mid laner to replace Austin "Link" Shin. For the first time, Pobelter has found himself in the Playoffs of the North American LCS. As the newest member of the CLG roster, he's got the added pressure of being the player that could push them over the edge to Playoff victory -- and on to the 2015 World Championship.
