Captain Planet and the Planeteers was, admittedly, a pretty awful show. The stories were weird, the idea was nice, if poorly executed, and despite its short-comings, has developed a weird sort of cult following over the years. This isn't about the show, though! This is about a really crazy creation by redditor SamTheSheep!

Using only a couple command blocks (one for the rings, one for Captain Planet himself), you can gain "rings" of power, which each give you the power of one of the major elements of the show (earth, fire, wind, water, heart). Each ring has its own unique element-themed abilities, one that is free to use, and another that uses a small amount of XP for balance. The video above demonstrates how they work, and it is pretty crazy! Start a massive fire! Create earthquakes! Walk on water! There's a lot more, give it a look.

In addition, the second command block lets you become Captain Planet, even including the show's introductory sequence when he would show up. Slap on your Captain Planet armor, and go wreak havoc on the world save the planet, and stuff! The suit gives you a ton of buffs, as well as a handful of really interesting abilities.

For a non-modded creation, it's a pretty amazing use of game resources, and definitely worth a look. Give it a try, and save your world! Probably!
