New command blocks explained by SethBling
Guess what just happened? If you guessed "the new 15w34b snapshot is out", then you are correct! If you instead guessed "Half-Life 3 is out", "aliens have just landed in Norway", or "Javert is the new default skin for Steve", then I'm afraid I have bad news.
Most of the changes to today's snapshot revolve around balancing the new combat options (sword strength, shields, etc), and are best experienced by testing them directly! To get snapshots, open your launcher and press the “New Profile” button. Call it “snapshots” and check the box saying “Enable experimental development snapshots” and save. To switch to the normal version, you can select it in the dropdown at the bottom left corner of the launcher. Back up your world first or run the game on in a different folder (See the “new profile” dialog). Remember that snapshots can, and likely will, break your old savegames, so be sure to use a new one when testing the new features!
The main changes to the 15w34 line of snapshots can be seen right here, as well as updates to this post as they become available!
FEATURES
- The Tab key can be used in the command block lines now
Seen above in the video, SethBling takes some time to explain the new command block features as well, to give you an idea on what they are all about. Enjoy!
