Minecraft news » Villager Generator? (1.9)

Villages are a tricky thing. Sometimes you want one, but the world generates it in a really strange place. Other times, gravel might clog up the entire place, or certain buildings just come out wrong. I have personally tried to build new villages in-game more than once - usually poorly - but now, there is a better way!

IJAMinecraft published an interesting command block-based villager generator very recently, and it is pretty awesome! Besides being entirely command-driven, it has a number of customizable settings, including enabling or disabling gravel, whether villages are small or large, an option to remove furniture, or even remove the villagers themselves, if you have something else in mind for the town! While it can be a little tricky to use, it is still incredibly useful for anyone looking to have a fresh new villager town built exactly where they would like it. While the houses don't conform exactly to villager building codes, they are still pretty nice to look at, and the whole process is reasonably quick, considering it is spawning an entire town at once.

So, how do you do it? First, you get the command block code (here), then paste the code into a command block in-game. Set it down, and run it. Pretty easy! The video further explains some tips and tricks for ideal village placement.

Have you tried this yet? Show us some screenshots of your generated villages!
