Look to the east, to Ember Isle, and see the baleful glow on the horizon. Maelforge and Laethys have joined in draconic union to break the day. When its light covers the world, it will not yield gentle warmth, but a raging inferno of Maelforge and Laethys's fury set to scorch Telara to cinders.

In RIFT 1.8, a blistering new 20-player raid will test the fiercest Ascended, while those seeking new friends can use the Guild Finder feature to rally and prepare. Competitive players can check PvP, PvE, and crafting leaderboards to see who's the best of the best. New Fishing and Survival tradeskills make their debut, and a World Event will have Guardian and Defiant alike locked in battle against two fearsome foes.

Take solace in night, and prepare what you can ... you'll need it come Infernal Dawn.
