Starcraft 2 news » SC2VN: A visual novel about pro-gaming and StarCraft II
SC2VN is a brand new and entirely free visual novel game about the struggles and triumphs of being a professional gamer. The game was initially launched via a Kickstarter back in 2013 and now the project has come to its full fruition.
In SC2VN, you take on the role of ‘Mach’, an aspiring pro-gamer who has spent their summer job savings to fly to Korea and attempt to break into the professional scene. Even as a well-known semi-pro, Mach quickly encounters the rough realities of trying to build a career in professional gaming.
The game takes place in 2011, where StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is on the rise alongside Korean eSports, and foreign players are flying in to compete with the best. The game explores the dynamic environments of players, sponsors, teams, and tournament organizers who all face unique challenges and questions as the pro-gaming scene for their game continues to develop.
Players will meet and interact with a number of professional gaming characters who all have their own story to tell. The question is: how will you develop Mach’s story, and what will come of the decisions that you make in what is bound to be one of the most relatable visual novels ever released for eSports viewers?
Whether you’ve played a visual novel before, or this is your first foray into such a genre, we highly recommend checking out Team Eleven Eleven’s new visual novel – SC2VN. You can read more about the game at their website and even download the game client for FREE.
