Starcraft 2 news » The Week in StarCraft II Esports (May 18 - May 23)
While this week starts with a humble qualifier for HomeStoryCup XIII, it immediately follows with some of the most diverse and impactful content we've had in a single week of StarCraft II esports.
- Proleague Finals: The largest and most prestigious team league in StarCraft II is holding the finals of Round 2 (which has been ongoing for months), so if you like the idea of Team Leagues, you don't want to miss Proleague. There will be a rebroadcast at 19:00 CEST.
- WCS Korea Cross Finals: This is the best opportunity we've ever had to watch the absolute best players in Korea have their own tournament. The top two players from the GSL and SSL are going to face off for over $20,000, and each of the tournament's finalists will also face off in an Archon show match. It's going to be truly epic. If you enjoy StarCraft II esports, or have ever wondered what the best players in the world are capable of, don't miss this. Seriously.
- TL Map Contest Tournament: In an effort to bring the best maps possible to StarCraft II,TeamLiquid, BaseTradeTV, and Blizzard have organized an official tournament to explore the tournament performance of the best maps produced by the Team Liquid Map Contest. If you like to be on the cutting edge of what's coming to StarCraft II, here's your chance. Watch this tournament and share/discuss what you think about what transpires.
