Starcraft 2 news » Patch 3.8 Preview: Miner Evacuation
If you missed our ‘Foundation for the Future’ panel at BlizzCon 2016, we previewed some of the major content coming to StarCraft II, including new Co-op content. We’re here to give a little more of a tease at the upcoming Co-op Mission: Miner Evacuation.
Those of you who have experienced the second Nova Mission Pack will be familiar with the sounds of space whales serenading each other in the distance. You’ll also recall the not so romantic infested which have completely overrun the planet. Many miners and crew were left behind, and now it’s up to you and your ally to save them.
Scattered throughout the map are several launch points with shuttles full of frightened passengers who want nothing more than to blast off. However, the launch sequence generates too much noise and will immediately reveal their location the horde. Without your help, the shuttle will be defenseless and will be torn apart before it has a chance to flee. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to position your army and alert the captain that he is clear to attempt to take off. But these civilians aren’t used to the stress of battle and will, in a panic, attempt to launch their ship before you are in position. You’ll have to be agile to if you want to cover their hasty retreat or else they will be torn apart by infested.
Miner Evacuation will be released in Patch 3.8. What commanders will you use when tackling this mission? What Mutators will be especially difficult to tackle? Let us know in the comments!
