This holiday season, from Tuesday, December 17 to Wednesday, January 1, TERA presents two simultaneous events that should get you in the gaming spirit: Santas to slaughter, and treasure maps to piece together!

Determinedly Seeking Santa

Start by seeking out despicable Santa impersonators—Big Santas and Tiny Santas—in the snowfields of Westonia and showing them the error of their ways. Tiny Santas fall down after just one hit and are guaranteed to drop a Santa’s Gift Box when they do. Big Santas have a chance to drop either a Santa’s Gift Box or Santa’s Big Gift Box each time you hit them…but it takes a lot more hits to defeat them!

When you open a Santa’s Gift Box, you’ll either get a Santa Doll you can exchange for reward or a Santa’s Big Gift Box! The big gift box contains either more Santa Dolls or a festive holiday Santa Alpaca mount!

However, opening a Santa’s Gift Box requires a Santa’s Lost Key, and you can get those either as a login reward, from purchasing them from the TERA Store, or by opening Santa’s Yule Treasure Maps and following the clues.

Deck the Halls with Troves of Treasure!

Throughout the Yule War event, you can earn a special reward in select dungeons: [Event] Santa’s Yule Treasure Map Box. Each of these contains either a Santa’s Torn Map Piece, the left or right half of a Santa’s Yule Treasure Map, or a complete Santa’s Yule Treasure Map.

You can exchange Santa’s Torn Map Pieces at the Event NPC Leason (in Velika and Highwatch) for the left and right halfves of Santa’s Yule Treasure Map.

When assembled, you’ll receive cryptic clues pointing to a specific location. Travel there, use the map again, and you’ll be greeted by the ever-helpful Kron, the Santa Cat. Kron will lead you to either a Bronze Yule Treasure Chest, Silver Yule Treasure Chest, or Gold Yule Treasure Chest.

Each of these chests contains at least one Santa’s Lost Key, plus some other useful items.

Remember, this event only lasts until the new year begins—so be sure to collect as many treasure maps and lost keys as you can and use them all before the end of the day on January 1!
