TERA news » Important News for Europe and Russia
We hate to bring you bad news, but we have some to share today.
Starting Thursday, June 11, 2015, TERA will no longer be available on Steam for download from certain countries in Europe and Russia.
Our decision to enforce this region restriction was influenced by external pressure from the publishers of TERA in these regions. However, TERA (as published by En Masse Entertainment) can still be downloaded directly from our download page by players in Europe, South America, and Russia for play on our servers.
This means that on June 11, 2015, new players from Europe and Russia will no longer be able to access the TERA game page on Steam, add TERA to their game library on Steam, or download the game client through Steam.
All existing players who downloaded TERA through Steam and added TERA to their game library before Thursday, June 11, 2015 will continue to be able to access and play the game with their En Masse account.
Uninstalling the game may prevent you from re-adding TERA to your Steam game library in the future, however.
The situation is truly unfortunate as we feel it denies a specific segment of players from enjoying TERA on the Steam platform, while also restricting the growth and success of TERA as a global brand. We sincerely apologize to those players who will be denied access to playing TERA through Steam in the future as a result of this unfortunate turn of events.
While En Masse Entertainment is the official North American publisher of TERA, we also support regions outside of North America because we feel it empowers players to make their own decision as to what service they choose to play TERA on, regardless of their location.
TERA remains available to download and play with an En Masse account from our download page.
