World of Tanks news » Wargaming.net Portal Improvements

Please note that there will be a maintenance on the portal for this update at 00:01 PDT (03:00 EDT) on May 21, 2013 and will last for approximately five hours.

Clan Wars will be "frozen" for 24 hours at the start of this update, 00:01 PDT (03:01 EDT) on May 21, 2013 to 00:01 PDT (03:01 EDT) on May 22, 2013.

Tankers,

We are pleased to announce that the Wargaming.net portal will be expanding soon. One significant change that will take place in this expansion is that the Account Management for players will be moved from the World of Tanks portal to the Wargaming.net portal. Here's a summary of changes that will occur on the World of Tanks portal:

  • The World of Tanks portal will be changed to WGNI-authentication, which is similar to the authentication method of the forum and Customer Service Center
  • Account management will be moved to this address: https://na.wargaming.net/personal/
  • In the future, this one account will be used to access all Wargaming portals (World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, World of Warships, etc.)

With the release of this Wargaming.net portal, we take a step forward in the development of a unified service. This Wargaming.net service will be the best way to support gaming in the Wargaming universe, bringing World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, and World of Warships to one easily accessible location.

New Player Profiles

In addition to the authentication features, players will now have the ability to see detailed information right here on the web. Achievements, Kill/Death Ratio, vehicle types, and many other statistics will now be readily available for everyone to see. Here's a couple of screenshots to give you an idea on how this will look on your player profile.

F.A.Q.

Does it mean that my EU and NA accounts will be merged?

No, we are not merging or changing accounts at all. You'll continue using your account for World of Tanks as normal. The Wargaming.net portal is intended to become a one-stop-shop for all Wargaming account management. All accounts are still server/region bound.

How will it affect my World of Tanks statistics?

It doesn't affect your game statistics at all. We are not changing your World of Tanks account. We are launching a Wargaming.net portal to provide you with a single place to manage your Wargaming.net account.

Will I lose my tanks or crews?

No, it doesn’t affect your game resources and achievements at all. We're simply adjusting the login system for the portal.
