Tankers!

We are honoring Operation Nordwind this weekend with a new MVP event. Operation "North Wind" was the last major German offensive of World War II on the Western Front. It began on Jan. 1^st 1945 in Alsace-Lorraine in northeastern France, south of where the Battle of the Bulge was fought, and it ended on Jan. 25^th 1945.

The objective was simple. The offensive was to break through the lines of the U.S. 7th Army and French 1st Army and destroy them. This would leave the way open for Operation Dentist, a planned major thrust into the rear of the U.S. 3rd Army which would lead to the destruction of that army.

We need some valuable players, and this time, it’s all about capturing or defending.

For this MVP event, there are two categories:

•  Base Capture
•  Base Defense

At the end of your battle, check your base capture/base defense percentage and add that number to the usual list of achievements you can earn. You may use any tank you like for this MVP.

Example: If you have 58% base capture, add 58 MVP points to your MVP score. Submit up to three battles in the category you choose.

Example (for the base defense category):

Battle 1: 25% Base defense à 25 MVP + 15 MVP (from destroyed, damaged, and achievements): 40 MVP

Battle 2: 38% base defense à 38 MVP + 11 MVP (from destroyed, damaged, and achievements): 49 MVP

Battle 3: 14% base defense à 14 MVP + 17 MVP (from destroyed, damaged, and achievements): 31 MVP

Total MVP points: 40+49+31 = 120 MVP points

Please be sure to send in your submissions and do your battles between Friday, January 6th, 12:01 AM PST and Sunday, January 8^th, at 11:59 Pm PST (Friday, Jan. 6^th 8:01 AM UTC – Monday Jan. 9^th 7:59 AM UTC).

Your submissions should be sent to: events@worldoftanks.com:

• Your game name and category are required in the email
• Subject should be Nordwind MVP
• 3 screenshots of the garage pop up with your achievements and the date of your battles
• 3 replays or end of battle screenshots showing the tanks destroyed/damaged/spotted and the base capture/base defense percentage.

Add these MVP points to your score:

• Destroyed tanks: 2 MVP points
• Damaged tanks: 2 MVP points
• Spotted tanks: 1 MVP point
• Defender: 3 MVP points
• Invader: 3 MVP points
• Scout: 3 MVP points
• Sniper: 3 MVP points
• Top Gun: 3 MVP points
• Confederate: 3 MVP points
• Boelter’s Medal: 3 MVP points
• Steel Wall: 3 MVP points

Prizes:

• 1st place: 8000
• 2nd place: 6000
• 3rd place: 4000
• 4th place: 2000
• 5th place: 1000
