World of Warcraft news » The AWC Fall Finale Starts Friday
It’s the final stretch before BlizzCon, so grab your grub, your guildmates, and your Thunderbrew Ale, and join us for the last three days of the Arena World Championship (AWC) Fall Season with Cup #3.
We’re kicking things off with the European Cup #3 Top 8 on Friday, Oct. 5, continuing Saturday with the North American Cup #3 Top 8, before wrapping it all up for both regions on Championship Sunday. Set your alarm for 10 a.m. PDT/19:00 CEST each day and follow the Warcraft Twitch channel for live notifications.
With last week’s Fall Cup #2, we saw the last of the available slots for BlizzCon locked in for both North America and Europe by Super Frogs and Tempo Storm, respectively. Even with BlizzCon off the table, the stakes for this Cup remain high, with a USD $10,000 prize pool, just like the previous cups of the Fall Season. On top of that, remember that the top two AWC point-earners from both NA and EU will receive byes for the first round of the BlizzCon double-elimination bracket.
And the teams who can no longer make BlizzCon? Well, as they say, nothing is more dangerous than a team with nothing left to lose. An upset from a non-qualified team could have huge consequences on seeding, which would be a very impactful final statement as the Fall Season comes to an end.
It all begins this Friday! Head to our AWC Fall Season landing page for more details about the tournament, and be sure to follow us on Twitter and Twitch.
