Announcing the Skycycle Flash Fiction Contest

Skycycles are coming to TERA...but from where? Who created these strange flying machines? What do those markings on the sides mean?

Well, to be honest, we’re hoping you’d already know. That’s why we’re holding a TERA Skycycle flash fiction contest, in which you might become an honorary member of the TERA writing team!

Write between 200 and 800 words about these great new mounts, and send your submission to FanArt@enmasse.com, with the subject line "Skycycle Contest," and your submission as a .txt file attachment. The contest runs from now until midnight PST on Tuesday, January 3*, and the results will be announced by Community Manager Spacecats during the weekly TERA livestream on Friday, January 13.

One grand-prize winner receives their choice of an account-bound Skycycle-MHZ or Jetcycle-MHZ, and their story becomes official TERA lore, recorded by the baraka elders and stored within the Halls of Knowledge. Two runner-ups receive character-bound versions of either the Skycycle-MHZ or Jetcycle-MHZ.

For those who don’t want to wait that long to go for a ride, Skycycles will also be featured in this year’s Golden Gift box event. Full details of the event will be announced soon, but you’re definitely going to want to set aside some quality time with your friends!

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get your lore on!

*The rules.

  1. Submitted fiction must be your own original creation, and based within the established world and framework of TERA. EME reserves the right to edit winning entries for content and style.
  2. Your email submission must include your full, legal name and TERA account name. Only one (1) entry per person, and duplicate or multiple entries will invalidate your participation.
  3. Submit your entry via email as a .txt file attachment to FanArt@enmasse.com, with a subject line of “Skycycle contest.”
  4. Your full entry must be received by Tuesday, January 3 at 11:59 p.m. PST to be eligible.
  5. Standard EME contest rules apply (http://tera.enmasse.com/standalone-pages/contest-rules).
