Join us to celebrate the opening of World of Warcraft’s newest lands! On the night of September 24, Blizzard will celebrate the launch of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Seven official launch events will take place in cities across Europe: Paris, London, Moscow, Cologne, Madrid, Milan and Stockholm.
During our server maintenance this week, the “Power of the Aspects” spell grew more powerful, reducing the health and damage dealt of all enemies in the Dragon Soul raid by 35%. This spell has grown progressively stronger over time to reduce difficulty and make the encounters more accessible. The spell will affect both normal and Heroic difficulties. It will not affect the Raid Finder difficulty.
Long ago, the legendary explorer Liu Lang set out from Pandaria with a turtle named Shen-zin Su. His tales inspired others to join him in his journey, and over thousands of years, the turtle grew into the vast Wandering Isle, which continues to roam the oceans, carrying an entire community of like-minded adventurers on its back.
We recently introduced the Guild Mentoring Program and asked for a few great guilds to volunteer their time and services. The call was heard and answered with many potential candidates sending in their applications to do their part. After further scrutiny, gazing at crystal balls, and a visit to the Darkmoon Faire (we love the food), we have called forth the following guilds.
Many exciting new mounts will be hitting the skyways and byways of Azeroth when adventurers set sail for Mists of Pandaria on September 25. From Cloud Serpents to Water Striders to your own flying clouds, mount collectors will get to ride off into the sunset on a plethora of exotic rides.

The Battle.net World Championship taking place in Shanghai this November will be the culmination of more than 30 StarCraft II World Championship Series tournaments around the world.

The eight best arena teams in Europe recently battled it out in the 2012 European World of Warcraft Invitational at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. But only six of the 24 players are headed to Shanghai, China for the Battle.net World Championship!

Today was the final day of gamescom 2012, and we certainly ended the show with a bang! We started off the day with an exciting World of Warcraft Live Raid, when members of the elite German raiding guild For The Horde took on Cataclysm’s most difficult raid instance: Dragon Soul in 25-man Heroic mode.
Loads of visitors have already stopped by our booth in Halle 6.1 (B21) of Cologne’s Koelnmesse since gamescom opened its doors to the public on Thursday, and they certainly haven’t been disappointed!
