The living world of Telara grows and changes with each passing day! If you’ve been gone or have yet to Ascend, there’s a whole new world waiting for you. When you return to Telara for free Jan. 19-22, you can conquer the dungeon Caduceus Rise, go on Instant Adventures, raise your Planar Attunement to the second tier, and explore a huge new zone: Ember Isle.

After you log in with your Trion Worlds account, you can chat with your friends, keep up with guild activity, and even set alerts to be notified about Zone Events on your shard as they happen. You can also play scratch-off card minigames to win in-game loot like artifacts, crafting materials, and Planarite delivered to your character’s mailbox.

Be a part of a world record, Feb. 14!
Get married in RIFT™ this Valentine's Day and be part of a world record. All Ascended Weddings logged between 9am PST on Feb. 14 and 9am PST on Feb. 15 will be counted toward our attempt at setting the Guinness World Records® Title for Most Online Weddings in a 24-hour period. Everyone who participates will receive the in-game title, "Tier of Knots."

Celebrate a year of RIFT™! There is no question: Without the Ascended, the Blood Storm would have utterly destroyed Telara, but thanks to the valiant efforts of Guardians and Defiant alike, Greenscale and Akylios lie slain. To honor their saviors, Telarans are holding a worldwide festival: the Carnival of the Ascended! Both factions head to Fortune’s Shore to rejoice with games and challenges, piñatas, parades, and prizes. But how long can peace last between immortal enemies? And what of Laethys and Maelforge scheming in the jungles of Ember Isle?

New tradeskills in RIFT™ 1.8
Telara's wilderness has always been a rich refuge for those with proper training. Now, new Fishing and Survival tradeskills promise to put its wondrous bounty at your command – and on your plate. Don't worry about leaving your forges and looms behind, either: Fishing and Survival are available to all Ascended, and they can be trained on top of existing professions!

In RIFT 1.8, a blistering new 20-player raid will test the fiercest Ascended, while those seeking new friends can use the Guild Finder feature to rally and prepare. Competitive players can check PvP, PvE, and crafting leaderboards to see who's the best of the best. New Fishing and Survival tradeskills make their debut, and a World Event will have Guardian and Defiant alike locked in battle against two fearsome foes.

Face seven deadly bosses in our most challenging 20-player raid yet: Infernal Dawn. Maelforge’s prison is weakening, and Laethys has nearly completed her breathtaking new body. Now, the Ascended must brave the volcanic depths of Mount Carcera to take on the Wanton, the Golden Maw, and their terrible leaders.
