Starcraft 2 news » The MLG Winter Championship is Coming

The MLG Pro Circuit Winter Season is set to culminate with their Winter Championships March 23-25 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. You can tune-in live to watch 256 of the best players in the world vie for $76,000 in prize money.

The StarCraft II Championship will kick off on March 23 with Pool Play, as the Top 16 from the Winter Arena, including MarineKing, DongRaeGu, HuK, NaNiwa, MC, Ret, Leenock, and NesTea battle it out. Will one of them blast all the way to victory, or will one of the pros lurking in the Open Bracket, such as Sheth, Mvp, IdrA, ThorZaIN, or LosirA win their way to pools? The format for this event makes it possible for a darkhorse to come from nowhere and snag the $25,000 1st Place prize.

The entire weekend of matches and mayhem will be broadcast across multiple streams. Watch MLG’s Live page March 23-25 for a weekend full of the world’s best StarCraft II action, live from a venue packed with thousands of screaming fans.
