Starcraft 2 news » Dream a little dream: DreamHack Winter 2011 kicks off this week!

What do you get if you combine several of the best StarCraft II players with famous shoutcasters, the world’s largest computer festival, and a massive €40,000 prize pool? Exactly, DreamHack Winter 2011! From November 24–27 thousands of fans will travel to Jönköping, Sweden, to watch their favourite stars fighting for fame, fortune, and prizes. Make sure to join us there to watch 64 top StarCraft II players, including WhiteRa, HuK, TLO, Grubby, PuMa, IdrA, and Stephano, compete in edge-of-the-seat matches for their share of the prize money. And if that’s not enough already, all the matches will be commentated by the famous shoutcasters Dan ‘Artosis’ Stemkoski, Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott, John ‘TotalBiscuit’ Bain, Ben ‘MrBitter’ Nichols, Shaun ‘Apollo’ Clark, and Nick ‘Tasteless’ Plott.

If you can’t make it there in person then follow the action live by tuning into the free English streams from Thursday through Saturday — the day of the StarCraft II Grand Final! Already excited? Visit the official event site now for additional information, player lists, and more in-depth details on the tournament format and prizes!
