One of the most anticipated StarCraft II World Championship Series (WCS) events is almost here! The South Korea Nationals will be held from August 6–24, and a total of 32 players will vie for one of 10 slots available to represent South Korea in the WCS Asia Finals. The 32 competitors include 16 players who emerged from intense competition in offline preliminaries,  the top 10 GSL players based on GSL points, and 6 of the top players in the KeSPA proleague. The South Korean champion (the player who places first in this tournament) will also be guaranteed a spot in the Global Finals at the Battle.net World Championship to be held this November in Shanghai.
