This last weekend was the latest installment in the HomeStoryCup legacy; HSC IV. Thousands tuned in to watch their favorite pros battle and BBQ at the TaKeTV studio for an action-packed slugfest.

A field of 32 entered the competition. One emerged victorious. Showing the world that he’s been training hard since his third place finish in the 2011 Blizzard Cup, Jang “MC” Min Chul came away as the winner of HomeStoryCup IV! After finishing second in his group, MC entered the top eight ready to carve his way through the opposition and claim his first place prize of $7,500.

In an honorable mention, Bae “Sound” Sang Hwan put up his first big performance to date and took second place. The terran player, representing team Startale, made his way through players such as Stephano, Dimaga, and Grubby before reaching the playoffs to snag $3,500.

This was also the debut of Park “JYP” Jin Young as a member of Team Evil Geniuses. In addition to taking third place and walking away with $2,000, JYP has also been awarded the second slot in the IEM VI World Championship, since MC is already previously qualified.
