The elin ninja is coming to TERA, and to get you in the proper frame of mind for our upcoming "Secrets & Shadows" content update, we’ve launched a "Seek & Spell" event with a host of opportunities to find and win piles of ninja-themed costumes, accessories, and more!

Starting today, and until maintenance on Tuesday, May 3, you’ll earn two kinds of boxes by playing TERA dungeons and battlegrounds—Shadow Letter Boxes, and Level 65 Shadow Letter Boxes. Each contains a random letter necessary to spell one of the following words (with the letter "G" appearing only in Level 65 shadow Letter Boxes):

SECRETS—Completing this word produces a prize box containing either a Nightfall costume, a ninja-themed accessory, or other consumables.

SHADOWS—Completing this word produces a prize box containing either a Bloodshadow costume, a ninja-themed accessory, or other consumables.

ENCHANTING—Completing this word produces an Enchanting Event Box containing a tier 8 or tier 9 enchanting scroll, or other enchanting materials.

Here’s how to get them:

• Take down the final boss of a leveling dungeon to get one Shadow Letter Box per party member.
• Take down the final boss of a level 65 dungeon to get one Level 65 Shadow Letter Box per party member. (Ghillieglade drops no boxes of any kind.)
• Take down the final boss of a level 65 (Hard) dungeon to get three Level 65 Shadow Letter Boxes per party member.
• Complete the 22nd floor in Dreadspire to get ten Level 65 Shadow Letter Boxes per party member.
• A win in Corsairs’ Stronghold (not 20-player raid) or Fraywind Canyon earns each member of your team one Level 65 Shadow Letter Box.

Have letters left over after spelling your words? Don’t throw those away! You can slot any five letters (including letters from previous events) into an Entry Ticket Maker (available from any general merchant) to generate a "Contest Entry Receipt." This receipt automatically enters you into a contest to win one of the following real-world prizes:

• One of three elin ninja statues
• One of ten TERA Collector’s Edition game boxes
• One of ten TERA posters signed by the En Masse team

You may enter as often as you’d like, but remember: you must keep your Contest Entry Receipt(s) in character inventory or your bank to qualify for contest prizes.

The Seek & Spell event ends after maintenance on Tuesday, May 3, and you have until Tuesday, May 10 to use letters to generate Contest Entry Receipts. Contest winners will be announced on Friday, May 13.
