TERA news » TERA Mongo: Neon Has Arrived!

Catch all the Mongos, all this weekend!

Dust off your Mongodexes and prepare for some monster-hugging fun all this weekend. TERA Mongo is back, starting now and running until Monday, August 29 at 10 a.m. PDT.

What is TERA Mongo, you might ask? TERA Mongo is an in-game monster-hunting event that takes place in various locations throughout the world of TERA. Players hunt down adorable creatures called Mongos, who wander innocently through the land waiting for players to give them a big hug.

And if you hug them too hard, loot will fall out!

If you missed out on the first batch of TERA Mongos last month, don’t worry—this weekend marks the debut of TERA Mongo: Neon. This release incorporates a lot of changes suggested by the community, and introduces some new Mongos to hunt for fun and profit.

To start, Mongos now spawn in fewer areas, with common Mongos appearing in greater numbers than before. We’ve also standardized what each common Mongo drops, delivering it as a parcel rather than something you have to loot. You might get only a few feedstock or masterwork alkahest from each one, but we think you’ll find there are enough Mongo around that you and your party can pick up a nice load of enchanting materials this weekend.

Uncommon and Rare Mongos have also had their drops significantly enhanced, but still spawn at the same rate and quantity. The images below show each Mongo type, where to hunt for them, and what loot to expect from each.

*Yes, almonst.

Legendary Mongos

Remember, TERA Mongo: Neon ends Monday, August 29 at 10 a.m. PDT. Don’t wait too long to catch every last one!
