Mandrakes. You see them all over TERA, but have you ever wondered what they’re really doing?

Case in point: their chief, Peanut von Strudel, recently wandered deep into the restricted halls of the Eldritch Academy. Prancing about a dusty old room is just a normal day for a mandrake, but this particular archive had been sealed off for a reason.

And when Peanut heard one of the books calling to him, well…

Bound in darkness and written in blood, the ancient tome contained the mad ramblings of an elin general who spent far too long fighting dark gods. Each page Peanut read changed him, transforming the mandrake’s love of mischief into lust for destruction!

The once-gentle creature’s joyful dance now summons evil creatures, and Peanut’s started teaching it to the rest of his tribe…

Starting Thursday, October 27, log in to TERA for daily monster-hunting double and triple features (invasion events)!

Strange creatures will appear in Seeliewood, the Island of Dawn, and the Eldritch Academy. Not only will there be a variety of vampyrs, zombies, and chupathingies for you to slay, but you’ll also be battling ghosts, skeletons, and other ghoulish monsters.

There will also be a few surprise bosses making cameo appearances during the event, so be ready to form a raid when you see an announcement that one has spawned. These bosses will drop Mandrakuryon Madness boxes containing costumes and must-have accessories, in addition to the Mandragora tokens you earn from all the invading monsters throughout the event.

Mandragora tokens can be exchanged for a variety of items through a temporary shop, but will fade away within 60 days following conclusion of the event.

Night of the Mandragora monsters will appear during the following two hour blocks on all servers (all times PDT):

• Thursday, October 27: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 8 – 10 p.m.
• Friday, October 28: 5 – 7 a.m., and 4 – 6 p.m.
• Saturday, October 29: 2 – 4 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 5 – 7 p.m.
• Sunday, October 30: 4 – 6 a.m., noon – 2 p.m., and 6 – 8 p.m.
• Monday, October 31: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 4 – 6 p.m., and
• Tuesday, November 1: midnight – 2 a.m.

Get ready! The invasion is coming to a (PC) screen near you starting October 27!
