League of Legends news » Worlds 2016 Stats - Groups Day 2

Another day, another Nidalee ban. Will we get to see the jungle cat out there on the Rift anytime in the future? Probably not. So, for now, we’re going to break down some of the stats that have emerged as of Day 2 here at Worlds 2016.

Picks/Bans

  • Nidalee has been banned every single game.
  • Apart from Nami, the top five picked Champions have 50% and below win rate.
  • Rumble went 4-4 (4-0 Day 1, 0-4 Day 2), Cassiopeia went 2-4, Ezreal went 3-3, Elise went 2-3.
  • Kennen was only picked on blue side (in 4 games).
  • Syndra went 3-1, with the highest win percentage out of the most contested champions, and an average KDA of 7.8 and 510 dmg/min.

SK Telecom T1 vs. Cloud9

  • Between 15 - 20 minutes, the gold difference increased by 5,141.
  • At 20 minutes, C9 had a gold deficit of 6619, the last time they had a deficit this large was in Week 5 of the NA LCS vs IMT.
  • Strong focus on mid lane from both junglers pre-15. Crown had a 25% jungle proximity and Jensen had 30.7%.
  • Neither jungler spent time with their top lane. Jungler proximity was 0.1% for CuVee and 2.3% for Impact.
  • Jensen only did 17.9% of his team’s damage, with 351 dmg/min.
  • Faker clapped Jensen with two solo kills.

Flash Wolves vs. I May

  • Flash Wolves were notoriously good at closing out games, 27-0 when they had a +1000 gold lead at 20 mins -- they lost when they were up 4,102 gold at 20.
  • I May had the largest comeback of the tournament at 20 minutes when they were down 4,102 gold.
  • Athena did 43.4% of his team’s damage with 1,180 dmg. per minute on Varus.
  • Both teams had a strong focus on vision, highest wards placed per minute, and kills per minute. (However, it was the longest game so far, so it skews the numbers a bit.)
  • The average number of wards killed per minute for Worlds is 1.45, I May cleared 2.05 and Flash Wolves cleared 2.15.
  • Low team jungle proximity for both teams: FW 39.7% // IM 36.5% // Worlds average is 44.7%.
  • Jinjiao struggled in lane with -20 CSD @ 10 minutes.

TSM vs. Samsung Galaxy

  • TSM came into the tournament with the largest gold leads at 10 and 15 minutes (+3489 GD and +6930 GD respectively).
  • The last -- and only -- time in the NA LCS Summer Split that TSM had a lead this large was Week 5 vs Phoenix1.
  • TSM were 8/1/13 at 15 minutes.
  • Svenskeren spent 26% of his time in enemy jungle.
  • Ambition spent a lot of time with CuVee, 17.3% jungle proximity. The Worlds average for top laners is 9.1%.
  • Despite Svenskeren spending almost half the amount of time top lane, he assisted in 3/4 of Hauntzer’s kills and assists pre-15 minutes.
  • Bjergsen placed four pink wards (average for a mid laner is 4.2).
  • Ambition did more damage than CuVee and Ruler.

Royal Never Give Up vs. Spylce

  • This was the shortest game of the tournament at 25:32.
  • Splyce had really poor vision control -- 2.8 wards placed per minute (average 3.65) and 0.7 wards killed per minute (average is 1.5).
  • Every member of the team did more damage than Kobbe (14.8% dmg share, 188 dmg/min).
  • Mikyx did the second most damage on his team, with a 23.1% dmg share.
  • By 20 minutes every lane was behind in CS: Kobbe -22 CSD, Sencux -24.5 CSD, and Wunder -7.5 CSD.

H2K vs INTZ e-Sports

  • No focus top lane for either junglers, Odoamne had 1.7% jungle proximity and Yang had 0%.
  • Odoamne dealt 41% of the team’s damage with 777 damage per minute and had 2 solo kills.
  • Every one of INTZ’s lanes was behind in CS from 5-20 minutes. At 15 minutes, Yang was -26 CSD, Micao was -32 CSD, and Tockers was -17 CSD.
  • This game had the slowest first blood of the tournament by a large margin. It didn’t happen until 18:09 -- the previous longest was 5:37.

Edward Gaming vs. ahq e-Sports Club

  • EDG’s jungle focus was on Mouse and Pawn pre-15 minutes, whereas Mountain spent most of his time with Chawy and An.
  • This was the closest early game of the tournament, with both teams practically even from 10-20 minutes.
  • An did 180 damage per minute, the lowest dmg/min in the tournament for non-supports (and a lot of supports are ahead of that number).
  • Ziv did 46% of his team’s damage whilst only taking 21.1% of his team’s gold.
